| Clipsal Model 486D Digital RCD
Tester |
| |
| The Clipsal 486D is an
economical instrument for everyday installations.
With the widespread use of electronic equipment, many faults that
occur in commercial and industrial installations have a DC
component. Different types of RCD's perform differently under these
circumstances, and it is important that the performance of the RCD
under DC conditions can be accurately assessed. |
|

|
The model 486D
incorporates six trip current settings, a selector switch for
testing either the positive or negative half cycle, indicator lights
for checking polarity, an easy to read LCD display, and a data hold
facility for hands free operation.
Features
- Tripping ranges from 10mA to 1000mA.
- Zero crossing circuitry permits testing on either half cycle.
- Easy to read LCD display.
- Measures tripping times up to 200ms.
- Data Hold facility for hands free operation.
- Indicators for checking wiring.
- Test plug with 1.5m lead.
- Robust carrying case.
